Meeting with our member AEI TÈXTILS, Lutz had the opportunity to present the upcoming EU textile research funding opportunities at the final event of their ADMANTEX2i project. This initiative has fostered invaluable connections between European textile SMEs and global markets, showcasing the unparalleled prowess of niche champions in the industry. Moving to Terrassa, he also visited FINSA, a leader of textile-based filtration solutions, and Leitat Technological Center, one of the 2 leading applied research & industrial technology centres in Catalonia.
In Barcelona, Lutz took the stage at the ADVANCED FACTORIES 2024 Summit, shedding light on the transformative potential of digital and advanced manufacturing technologies in the textile sector. Joined by industry leaders and fellow members such as TEXFOR and TEXTIL OLIUS, he discussed the path towards sustainable, traceable textile production in alignment with upcoming EU legislation.
On 10-11 April, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter travelled travelled to Catalonia, Spain, where he delved deep into the heart of textile innovation and industry advancement.
