Textile ETP meets with the RESERVIST partners for the General Assembly

On 26 and 27 October, Textile ETP and the other RESERVIST partners gathered for the General Assembly of the project in Liege, Belgium.

Over the two days, we discussed the current status of the project and present the remaining activities. The meeting especially focused on the RESERVIST cells (including the different products such as face masks, ventilators,...) and how to implement them.

Partners presented the upcoming digital platform that would serve as a interaction tool between the customers/end-users (hospitals, governments, healthcare systems, and others such as restaurants, hotels...) and the RESERVIST network that will provide the necessary equipment. Some partners’ cells were also presented: 2 hours and 30 minutes is the time needed to Sioen to switch their production to face masks as soon as they receive the raw materials.

Textile ETP presented the latest and upcoming disseminations activities including the final RESERVIST event that will take place in Spring 2023. Watch this space for more information on the event!

Finally, visits of Sioen technical felts & Centexbel labs, based in the Liege area, were organised in order to learn more about the fabrication process of facemask materials, and the process behind the standard tests.

The RESERVIST project aims to set up alternative lines called ‘reservist cells’, that can be activated within 48 hours, in order to switch easily from a day-to-day production line to one that focuses on products and services needed in time of crisis. More information about the project is available here.
