The E-Textiles Conference in Ghent brought together industry leaders, with SmartX Community Manager, Judith Bosch, taking a central role in shaping discussions and panels over two dynamic days.
The conference covered diverse topics, including smart materials in health devices, industry challenges in setting standards, new material-based textiles, but also on healthcare, sports applications, and energy harvesting technologies, addressing key topics such as design, fashion, and sustainability.
Judith Bosch discussed the crucial role of cross-sectorial collaborations in bringing e-textiles to the market. She presented the SmartX Community and how joining forces is key to learning, collaborating, and innovating in this rapidly evolving industry. She also led a panel discussion on sustainable approaches to bring e-textiles to the market, featuring Helena Elisabet Almqvist (Protex Balti AS), Malte von Krshiwoblozki (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), Christian Dalsgaard (Danish Technological Institute), Jeanne Tan (Aidlab) and Elina Ilén (VTT).
The event was also an opportunity to meet with a few SmartX Communty such as as HOGENT, Centexbel, and CeNTI.
The Textile ETP and the SmartX Community look forward to the next E-Textiles Conference in Berlin, continuing to push the boundaries of smart textiles and applications.
