SmartX Value Chain Workshop in Paris

The SmartX and SmartEEs projects jointly organised a value chain cross-fertilisation workshop in Paris on 29-30 November attended by over 80 participants from all across Europe, hosted by Institut Français de la Mode (IFM).

The workshop matched start-up/SME innovators funded by SmartX and SmartEEs with potential business partners/investors active in their respective value chains – health, sports, protection, industrial.

On day 1, the focus was on smart textile solutions for the newborn, children, elderly, and medical and well-being end-markets. 11 SmartX-funded innovators presented their results. On day 2, the themes of sports, protection, and industrial applications were covered and 6 SmartX and 4 SmartEEs funded innovators were presented. The event led to many new connections and plans for follow-up collaborations thanks to its interactive format composed of short pitches combined with speed-dating and general networking sessions.
