Textile ETP discusses the future of smart textiles at the WINTEX Project workshop in Tunisia
On 3 October 2022, Judith Bosch, our Project Manager, attended the WINTEX Project workshop held in Tunisia to discuss the future of smart textiles. She presented the current gaps and how a community is key to address those barriers.
Judith, who joined online, was invited by AEI TÈXTILS, consortium partner on the project. She shared the panel with Dr. Daniela Zavec, technical director of the Masterclass and of the SmartX Community, who discussed smart textile business models, and Joan Santamaria and Francesc Sola, from Hilaturas Arnau, who presented a case study in circular textile.
The WINTEX Project promotes weaving innovation among academia and industry in the Tunisian textile sector. It aims to fill the gap in the area of specialised services for the Tunisian textile sector with the establishment of three innovation textile centers. The project promote the collaboration between the participating European organisations and Tunisia, by creating a network, which may benefit the textile industry in the countries involved in the project.
