One of the event's highlights was Lutz Walter's keynote speech on EU research for textile sustainability and circularity, in which he emphasised the critical role of innovation and collaboration in creating a greener, more circular future for the textile industry. His address also underscored the need for unified efforts to accelerate sustainable transformation through cutting-edge research and policy support.
At the conference, Textile ETP also hosted a stand, offering participants insight into our initiatives and projects aimed at transforming the industry. Among our several projects, we provided an update on the PESCO-UP project, which focuses on developing economically viable processes for upcycling mixed polyester-cotton textile waste.
