Textile ETP in Hungary to celebrate the 75 years of Innovatext
On 30 September 2024, our Community Manager Kamilla Drubina had a chance to speak at the Sustainable Textile Forum in Budapest.
In this event celebrating the 75 years of the Innovatext Textile Engineering and Testing Institute, Kamilla discussed the latest developments in textile sustainability at the European level, and highlighted Textile ETP's activities supporting the sustainable transformation of the EU textile sector.
She mentioned in particular:
the major milestones in EU legislation regarding textile sustainability in the past 30 years,
the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles
how the new "Textiles of the Future" partnership will support EU companies, especially SMEs' innovation efforts to reach the goals set out in the Strategy.
Kamilla also introduced ECOSYSTEX and our Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub, which both provide valuable resources and insights into recent textile sustainability and circularity innovation in Europe, while providing a great platform for networking and collaboration.
