Textile ETP prepares for "Textiles of the Future" European Partnership with members-only webinar series

As the European Commission prepares to officially launch the “Textiles of the Future” Partnership under Horizon Europe, Textile ETP is organising a series of webinars designed to engage and prepare its members for the opportunities ahead.

The European Commission’s announcement of the “Textiles of the Future” Partnership in Spring 2024 marked a pivotal step in advancing an innovation-driven European textile industry. This partnership, co-managed by Textile ETP, aligns with the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027 and aims to drive the green and digital transformation of the sector, making it more competitive, sustainable, and resilient.

Upcoming Webinar Activities:

  • Microfactories/Robotics webinar (9 October 2024): This session will explore the latest advancements in microfactories and robotics, highlighting how these technologies can revolutionise textile manufacturing through automation and smart production systems.

  • Artificial Intelligence webinar (14 November 2024): Focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence, this webinar will delve into AI-driven innovations that are reshaping design, production, and supply chain management within the textile industry.

  • Digital Supply Chain webinar (12 December 2024): This webinar will explore how digital advancements are transforming the textile industry’s supply chain, and will delve into cutting-edge digital solutions that are enhancing supply chain transparency, efficiency, and resilience.

These webinars are designed to equip members with the latest insights and tools on emerging technologies and sustainable practices while connecting stakeholders from across the entire textile value chain.

Following the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between the European Commission and Textile ETP, calls for proposals will be launched under Horizon Europe’s Cluster 4 (2025-2027), aligning with the “Textiles of the Future” Partnership's SRIA written by Textile ETP in collaboration with its members. The projects funded through these calls will involve industry players, with a focus on SMEs, alongside research and technology organisations, universities, and other stakeholders, to focus on higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) for rapid industrial deployment. In the first phase, at least €60 million will be invested in key research and innovation actions.
