This was the first time Textile ETP attended this dynamic and steadily growing event, which focuses on sustainable and circular solutions within the textile industry, and brings together industry professionals, innovators, and researchers committed to transforming the future of textiles.
During the two-day event, Textile ETP engaged in multiple sessions that explored innovative sustainable solutions and new business models aimed at promoting circularity in textiles. The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with familiar faces among long-standing members and engage in face-to-face discussions with subscribers of the Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub.
On the second day, Tilla Kross and Kamilla Drubina hosted an ECOSYSTEX panel discussion focusing on the critical role of collaboration, innovation, and systemic change in translating EU research into tangible industry impact. The panel featured representatives from four ECOSYSTEX member projects - HEREWEAR, SCIRT Project, tExtended, and PLASTICE - and highlighted the importance of harnessing research and fostering partnerships to drive sustainable change.
The discussion included insights from expert speakers: Tom Duhoux from VITO, Birgit Stubbe and Willem Uyttendaele from Centexbel, and Frank Dingemans from Kringwinkel Antwerpen. The panel was moderated by Jens Oelerich from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, who guided the conversation toward exploring how research and innovation can influence industry practices.
