The first meeting of 2020 of the ETP's Governing Board took place via video conference on 25 March. It was an occasion to welcome 2 new Board members: Ms. Corinne Farace from Techtera (FR) representing EU-TEXTILE 2030, the association of European textile clusters, and Prof. Jan Mahy from Saxion Hogeschool (NL), representing NETFAS - the Network of European Textile and Fashion Universities of Applied Sciences. EU-TEXTILE 2030 and NETFAS had joined the ETP as full members in January 2020. Both newcomers to the Board expressed their enthusiasm to join and enrich a strong European network to promote textile research and innovation.
The annual General Assembly is confirmed for 28 April 2020 and will be held by video conference, starting at 4 pm CET. The formal convocation, background documents and dial-in details will be sent to all full and associate members. Finally, it was agreed to maintain the concept of joining the 2020 Annual Conference with the iTechStyle summit in Porto, a new date of which should be announced as soon as travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted.
