Smart textiles and wearables are a major innovation frontier for the textile, clothing and electronics industries and are expected to open up attractive niche market opportunities in several sectors worth 1.5 B € in 5 years. However, the knowledge about key technologies, functional requirements and main innovation players is fragmented. Production companies and businesses might lack the technical knowledge that sits in research centres and universities, while the latter does not have the channels to produce for the industry or the end-market.
40 companies, SMEs and research players are about to start a 15-month journey to dive deep into smart textiles. The programme focuses on practical, actionable insights for product and business development in smart textiles.
It's a learning opportunity for research and innovation professionals: the programme covers textiles and IoT technology innovations, standards, sustainability and recyling aspects to support the product development.
It's a business growth opportunity for companies: the programme covers the whole innovation cycle from product design to manufacturing, supply chains, business models and go-to-market strategies.
It's a networking opportunity for all: get to know technology and opinion leaders, as well as established, upcoming and most promising players from all across Europe in an open and collaborative environment.
Ultimately, it’s the chance to access the €1.5 B European smart textiles market – or strengthen your position there.

WHAT DOES THE FEE COVER?
The fee covers the costs of attendance of all 12 webinars and discounted participation to the final event for all registered experts of the same subscriber organisation. It also includes access to all course materials for the entire duration of the programme.
The subscription fee is a single fee per company/organisation and allow multiple staff members per each organisation to participate. Therefore, different professionals from the same organisation can enrol and participate in either all or some of the webinars that are relevant to their areas of interest.
For example, R&D professionals are involved for the whole programme, while business managers join their colleagues only when the programme dives in business models, target markets and stakeholders. That way, all professionals can work together to approach the design, production and market phases.
Yes. To allow subscribers to spread the cost over two fiscal years, the fee can be split in two instalments: the first one being invoiced before the beginning of the programme, in April 2021, the second in January 2022. Opting for the split invoicing option has an additional administrative cost of 50€. However, a subscription always covers the full programme period, which means the 2nd instalment remain due whether a subscriber decides to attend the full course cycle or not.
Each organisation pays one single subscription fee. The subscription fee allows multiple staff members to enrol, attend the webinars, collaborate with peers and access the material. This decision is rooted into the very soul of Textile ETP as a community organisation: we work to connect textile professionals and enable collaboration, exchange and partnerships to support innovation in the sector in Europe.
