The topics elaborated by the 45 speakers who presented over 11 webinars across both programmes ranged from recycling technologies – both chemical and mechanical, circular business models and their implications, to the potential and use of several natural fibres, like hemp, nettle, and biobased man-made fibres. The programmes also covered contemporary technologies to trace and certificate the supply chain and studies on LCA to assess the sustainability of biobased fibres. Lastly, we gathered a good number of projects to showcase the research trends and funding opportunities available, fostering the establishment of partnerships.
In sum, participants had the chance to stay up to date on research and market trends, besides getting in touch with a wide range of players active at all stages of the textile value chain in Europe.
Stay tuned for updates on the next phase in the coming weeks!
