The next Annual Textile ETP Conference and General Assembly will be co-organised with iTechStyle Summit, in Porto/Portugal on 28-30 April 2020. The event is expected to attract well over 500 participants, including a significant number of local textile and clothing companies - a great occasion to bring the ETP work closer to industry and to share the latest EU-wide textile research & innovation results.
The event will focus on the strategic innovation themes for textiles and clothing and how they link to the new HORIZON EUROPE research and innovation framework programme starting in 2021. We expect many ETP members to join us for this premiere and hope that this will create an encouraging precedent for organizing more ETP events across Europe in the future.
Here is a tentative programme outline: Day 1 (28 April - starting mid-day) will focus on mega-trends and political developments in EU research & innovation. In the late afternoon, the ETP General Assembly for all full and associate members will take place from 18:00 to 19:00, later we will finish the day with a welcome cocktail and an elegant dinner organised by CITEVE. Days 2 & 3 (29-30 April - full days) will be composed of 8 plenary sessions dedicated to the 4 main themes - Digitalisation, Advanced Materials, Sustainability, and New Textile Applications.
