Textile ETP published the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the "Textiles of the Future" European Partnership. The Partnership, officially announced by the European Commission in March 2024, is set to launch by the end of this year. On 17-18 June 2024, Textile ETP was in Slovenia, for a PESCO-UP project consortium meeting and second General Assembly in Ptuj, Slovenia, to share with the consortium the latest updates about the project.

On 4 June 2024, the Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter participated in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs (DG GROW) stakeholder event for the Textiles Ecosystem Transition Pathway.

Launched today, the SOLSTICE project supports sustainable growth in the textile sector by raising customer awareness, enhancing recycling with new sorting methods, ensuring feedstock traceability using the Digital Product Passport, and providing data and guidelines to decision-makers.

The 18th Textile ETP Annual Conference in Mechelen brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators for two dynamic days of discussions and insights, focusing on sustainability, innovation, fundings, and the future of the textile sector.

As exhibitors at Techtextil for the second time, the Textile ETP team organized 6 guided tours from Tuesday to Thursday. Three tours were dedicated to the SmartX Innovation Hub, two to the Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub and one for ECOSYSTEX & ETP Members.

The 18th Textile ETP Annual Conference will take place as a physical event on 14-15 May 2024 in Mechelen (a charming Belgian town a stone’s throw away from Brussels, easily accessible by public transport from Brussels airport and city centre).
