Second ECOSYSTEX Conference: A Milestone for Sustainable Textile Innovation and Traceability
The ECOSYSTEX Conference, held in Milan, Italy on 15-16 October 2024, brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and policymakers to foster collaboration between EU-funded textile research and sustainable textile practices. The event attracted over 120 in-person attendees and more than 100 virtual participants from across Europe.

Techtextil 2024: Textile ETP in the middle of technical textile innovation
As exhibitors at Techtextil for the second time, the Textile ETP team organized 6 guided tours from Tuesday to Thursday. Three tours were dedicated to the SmartX Innovation Hub, two to the Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub and one for ECOSYSTEX & ETP Members.
Advancing Circular Textiles: Textile ETP and ECOSYSTEX at the New Cotton Project Final Conference
On 21 March 2024, Textile ETP participated in the New Cotton Project and Telavalue's one-day seminar in Finland together with textile industry stakeholders to share findings and exchange ideas on driving circular initiatives in the sector as the projects come to a close. New Cotton Project and Telavalue are both projects developed and pilot-tested innovative technologies and business models for textile circularity, with special focus on cellulose-based textile waste.

On 7 March, Textile ETP and several other CISUTAC partner attended a policy roundtable on EPR.
ECOSYSTEX and CISUTAC at WhiteCycle Workshop
On 28 November, in a collaborative effort to drive sustainability and circularity in the European textile industry, ECOSYSTEX and CISUTAC were presented at the first workshop of WhiteCycle, hosted at Michelin's R&D facilities in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Identifying Research Gaps and Needs for the Green Transition of the European Textile Ecosystem: Insights from the ECOSYSTEX Community
As a results of two months of collaboration between the researchers, industry experts and other stakeholders involved in the 23 ECOSYSTEX project members, the ECOSYSTEX Community, facilitated by Textile ETP, is publishing their first Input Paper identifying the most pressing and impactful research gaps and needs to be filled to enable the green transition of the European textile ecosystem.
