The new Textile ETP coordinated project SmartX - European Smart Textiles Accelerator made important progress in its 2nd project month.
Several regional events in different countries are being planned for the autumn, with the first one confirmed for 1st October in Liège, Belgium, linked to a Smart Textiles event organised by project partner Centexbel. More info and registration here.
Also, a Hackathon is under preparation to take place in late October in Berlin, enabling selected Smart Textiles SME's to experiment with advanced manufacturing and assembly technologies.
By September, the first call for expressions of interest will be launched to identify the first wave of SME's interested to apply for the SmartX funding call to be opened in November 2019. Also, the first version of the European Smart Textile Community Platform will be launched in early autumn.
